Can I deduct any of my medical expenses?
You can deduct medical and dental expenses that exceed 7.5% of your AGI as long as you itemize your deductions. Expenses include the costs of diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, and prevention of disease and treatments affecting any part of the body. Payments to physicians, surgeons, dentists, and other medical practitioners as well as the cost of equipment, supplies, and diagnostic devices are all included. You can only deduct medical expenses paid during the tax year, regardless of what year the services were rendered.
